UWI 60^th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS 
 
 
 

The University of the West Indies will celebrate the 60^th anniversary of its founding in 2008. Various commemorative events and activities on each campus and in the UWI-12 countries are scheduled throughout the anniversary year, from January 1 to December 31, 2008. The climax of these celebrations will be a Special Convocation Week from July 12 – 19, 2008 at the oldest campus – the Mona Campus – when it is hoped that hundreds of our graduates will assemble at Mona for a grand Gathering of Graduates.  In due course, the year-long calendar of events as well as the diary of events for the Special Convocation Week will be posted on the UWI website.  

We invite all members of the university community in all the contributing countries as well as alumni in the Diaspora to participate in these activities. Members of staff who are graduates are especially encouraged to become involved, along with their relatives in the year’s events.
