Renaming of buildings/facilities – over the period June – October 2010 the following naming decisions were taken:

• To name the Main Library at the St Augustine Campus The Alma Jordan Library, in honour of the first St Augustine Campus Librarian in 1960, Dr. Alma Jordan;  
• To re-name the Postgraduate Flats at the Mona Campus, The Gerald Lalor Flats in honour of former Campus Principal, Professor The Hon Gerald Lalor; 
• To name the food technology laboratories in the Faculty of Engineering, The George Sammy Food Technology Laboratory, in honour of the late Professor George Moon-Sammy, a pioneer of food technology in the region and former Professor of Food Technology.
