Interventions

Interventions and evaluating interventions are the means by which evidence is effectively translated into policy and programmes and evaluated for impact on the health status of populations. This translation of research into action is a priority for the GA-CDRC and directly illustrates our input into improving health.

The Barbados National Registry for Chronic NCD, is our surveillance system of all strokes, heart attacks and cancers. Since 2008 this has provided a robust platform for evaluation of interventions and presents these results at two continuing medical education seminars a year, also contributing to translation of research to action.
