Flooding was caused by heavy weekend rainfall which caused a breach in the Conservancy Dam at the back of these Villages. The main breach was about 15 ft. wide. It was sealed on Sunday but quickly gave way again because of the continuous rainfall. Impassable roads made the situation worse because they weren’t able to get access to fix the breach. 1500 families were affected, villages and farms were flooded.
