Damage: Storm which was a category 2 with winds of 160 km caused widespread damage in both Islands. Flooding of major roads occurred. Initial assessments estimated 2000 persons were severely affected and evacuated their homes. 18 persons were hospitalized and 500 left homeless. 815 homes suffered roof loss and damage. The telephone and electricity service was also disrupted, with 50% of the telephones out of service and 90% of the country without electricity. Significant amount of debris generated as a result of storm. 2 shelters were left damaged
