Outreach

The extensive reach of the HWFMU’s Outreach arm within the English–Speaking Caribbean for over twenty-five years, has contributed to the improvement in the quality of life among a wide cross–section of the Region’s populace. Since its inception in 1989, Outreach has partnered with various governmental and non-governmental organizations together with a number of Donor Agencies to offer holistic interventions in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Health and Family Life Education to multi-disciplinary teams at the institutional and community levels.

Chief among our partners have been the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), Ministries of Education, Health and Social Services/Community Development, PAHO/WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDCP, CARICOM, and the University of the West Indies School of Continuing Studies which have provided much needed support to facilitate the successful delivery of programmes and projects throughout the Region.
