Integrated Assessment of trade-related Policies in the Agricultural Sector: Supporting the Implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity in Jamaica.

Between 2007 and 2010, Jamaica carried out an integrated assessment of the impacts of the reform in the EU-ACP Sugar Protocol on the Jamaica sugar industry. The country developed and started to implement an integrated policy response and national action plan as follow-up to the assessment.)

This small scale project supported the organization of a regional workshop in Jamaica for selected countries involved in sugar production in the Caribbean, to facilitate Jamaica’s sharing of the findings and discussion on approaches developed to chart the way forward, based on the findings.
