THE ISD CONGRATULATES PRINCIPAL DALE WEBBER

The Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD) congratulates Professor Dale Webber, as he takes up his position as Principal of the Mona Campus, the University of the West Indies (The UWI).

Professor Webber, was part of the ISD’s management team, as Director of the Centre for Environmental Management, before being promoted to Pro Vice-Chancellor, Graduate Studies and Research of the UWI.

Professor Webber has vigorously advocated for sustainable best practices in the areas of coastal Ecology and Environmental Management and lobbied for policies to be established to protect and sustain these areas which are vital for the development of Small Island States. He has also attracted much research funding and provided exceptional and valuable contributions in research and graduate supervision, teaching and administration.

The Institute welcomes Professor Webber to his new post and wishes him a very successful tenure as Principal of the Mona Campus.
