Dear Staff, Students and Supporters of the UWI,
The University of the West Indies (UWI) is currently in the final year of its Strategic Plan 2007 to 2012. Several of the goals and objectives in the Plan have been achieved to date, but the University faces various challenges and constraints as it engages in its strategic transformation process.
As the UWI embarks on the next Strategic Plan 2012 to 2017, it needs to find creative ways of meeting the challenges and constraints it faces in the provision of high quality tertiary level education.
The UWI is therefore soliciting the views of all stakeholders on the strategic direction, goals, objectives and initiatives which it should consider in its new Strategic Plan 2012 to 2017.
The UWI welcomes your valuable input in this strategic planning exercise as it seeks to improve the provision of higher educational services to meet the needs of its stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
As a centre of excellence, the UWI plans to undertake initiatives to meet the intellectual and human resource needs of the region.
