Prof Harris will demit office as UWI Vice Chancellor in 2015
The UWI Vice Chancellor, Prof E Nigel Harris is stepping down in April 2015 after 10 years on the job.
He feels that the time has come and has advised that the international search for his replacement has already begun. During his tenure there have been many accomplishments, for example, the doubling of the University's enrollment to 50,000, doubling of applications to 30,000 per year and establishing the Open Campus.
During his last year at the UWI, Professor Harris intends to expand linkages with community and colleges in the “UWI-14” countries.
