Professor Russell Pierre of the Department of Child and Adolescent Health, Faculty of Medical Sciences will deliver his Inaugural Professorial lecture on Thursday, April 24 at 5:30pm. at the Sir Kenneth Standard Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Complex 
 
In this lecture, entitled “Circle of Life – The face of Paediatric Aids…the Millennial Generation,”  Professor Pierre will focus on Paediatric HIV/AIDS and examine its evolution through three decades.
 
He will also present the critical developments in Jamaica arising out of operational research that are considered benchmarks for the Caribbean region, including the significant reduction in paediatric HIV-attributable morbidity and mortality, influence on teaching, public health, outreach and policy implementation.
