UWI, Mona Perinatal Conference Explores Twin Pregnancy

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UWI, Mona will explore Twin Pregnancy during its 11th annual Perinatal Conference slated for February 11-12 at 8:30 am daily at the Main Medical Lecture Theatre located at the University Hospital. Professor Jon Barrett, Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist and Chief Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the University of Toronto will be the guest speaker. His lecture will focus on Monochorionic Gestation: its dangers and diagnosis. 
 
The two-day event features several local and regional experts who will be engaged in a Perinatal Audit and Workshop on February 11 and in presentations on February 12. Topics being explored include: the Biology of Twinning, Conjoined Twins, Multiple Pregnancies and Twin Delivery. 
 
The Conference is especially geared towards medical practitioners, however the public may attend. The Registration Fee is $1000 for medical and other professionals, $500 for nurses and undergraduate students attend free. A total of 11.5 CME credit hours are provided.
