Diplomatic week lecture held in St Kitts-Nevis

Nevisian-born Professor Jessica Byron-Reid, Director of the University of the West Indies Institute of International Relations at The UWI, St. Augustine Campus was the special guest lecturer at the inaugural Diplomatic Week Lecture on April 9, 2019. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held activities for Diplomatic Week (April 7-12) and the lecture’s theme was “Securing a Resilient Future through Strategic Diplomacy and Effective Dialogue.”

Professor Byron became Director of the UWI Institute of International Relations on August 1, 2016. She holds a B.A in French and Spanish from The UWI Cave Hill Campus and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the Institute of International Relations, The UWI, St. Augustine. She has a PhD in International Relations from the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales, University of Geneva. She serves on a number of editorial advisory committees including the Small States and Territories Journal and the Caribbean Journal of International Relations and Diplomacy.
