UWI STAT Alumni Ambassador Mr. Tijani Christian appointed to the Global Board of Generation Unlimited

UWI STAT  Alumni Ambassador Mr.Tijani Christian has been appointed as a member to the Global Board of Generation Unlimited by Executive Director of UNICEF, Ms. Henrietta H. Fore. 

UNICEF and its partners launched Generation Unlimited (GenU) as a multi-sectoral global partnership to help young people aged, 10 - 24, become productive problem-solvers and members of society. By bridging secondary-age education and training to employment and entrepreneurship, the partnership has and will support every young person to thrive in the world of work. 

As one of 8 youth members of the Board, he has been appointed to join the Board to advance its strategic vision, expand its networks and leverage partnerships in support of GenU's goals for young people. As a first matter of business, he joined the Global Board in New York during the United Nations General Assembly High Level for its Global Board Meeting as well as marking one year anniversary of GenU. He looks forward to his new role in promoting the interests of Caribbean young people.
