UWIMAA CANADA'S DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD 2021 GOES TO DR BADRI RICKHI!
The 2021 Annual General Meeting was held via Zoom on May 2nd for public health reasons.
A tribute to Dr Badri RIckhi was made by Dr Tex Kissoon, recognising his work in psychiatry, particularly in integrative psychology.
Dr Kissoon presented the award virtually and Dr Rickhi accepted it and expressed gratitude.
Dr. Rickhi is a psychiatrist with additional training in traditional Chinese, Tibetan, Ayurvedic and Ryodoraku medicine as well as functional, energy and quantum physics medicine.
He is currently an associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Rickhi has advised Health Canada and World Health Organization on complementary therapies. Dr. Rickhi is the first Canadian to sit on the executive committee of the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health (The Consortium).
As research chair and founding member of CINIM, Dr Rickhi works diligently to improve mental health of all Canadians through integrative medicine and has pioneered such things as BreathingRoomTM program and Inner Access which both assist with maintaining mental health in youth.
He is working closely with the Government of India to incorporate integrative medicine into its healthcare system and in 2014, he published The Cosmic Game: Book 1, Reflections.
