Conversations with Prime Ministers Series featuring Mr. Basdeo Panday
{gallery}http://www.flickr.com/photos/theuwi/sets/72157629157507545/{/gallery} The University of the West Indies, under the auspices of the Open Lectures Committee, hosted the second in its four-part series of Conversations with Prime Ministers, featuring former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Basdeo Panday. This event took place on Thursday 26th January, 2012, at 5.30 pm, at the Daaga Auditorium, The UWI, St. Augustine Campus.
During this conversation, Mr. Panday shared his views on the independence experience, his stewardship as Prime Minister, his vision for the future and related matters. He also answered questions from the audience.
The Conversations with Prime Ministers are an integral part of The University of the West Indies’ commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the independence of Trinidad and Tobago. The first in this series was held in November 2011, and featured former Prime Minister and President, His Excellency Arthur N.R. Robinson. The University plans to host further conversations with Prime Ministers.
