The Human Communication Studies Postgraduate Programme in the Department of Literary, Cultural and Communication Studies hosted its inaugural international conference at The UWI St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago from September 26th – 27th, 2013.

The Human Communication Studies Conference 2013 theme was:
“Celebrating the Caribbean in Communication, Culture and Community”

This two-day conference was aimed at celebrating and presenting the latest human communication studies research among students and academic staff (faculty) from across the region and beyond the Caribbean. We encouraged submissions incorporating interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary frameworks and novel proposals using a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives.
