UWI Rooting for Jehue

{gallery}http://www.flickr.com/photos/theuwi/sets/72157630533415986/{/gallery} Before leaving for London on Thursday, Jehue Gordon, final-year student of The UWI St. Augustine Campus’ Sports Management programme, visited the Office of the Campus Principal on Wednesday July 11th, 2012.

Professor Clement Sankat, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Campus Principal, chatted with the track and field athlete, assuring him of UWI’s support. The Principal then presented Gordon with tokens from the University, in hopes they would “enrich his journey.”

Jehue will compete for the gold medal in the Men’s 400m Olympic Hurdle. Round 1, takes place on 3rd August at 11:15am. The Semi-final follow on August 4th at 7pm with the Final on August 6th at 8.45pm.
