PURPOSE:
Supports financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and accurately reporting financial data. Develops financial models and provides high quality and timely financial impact assessments to Executive Team.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare annual Financial Statements in accordance with international accounting and reporting standards
Preparation and analysis of monthly Financial Statements and Management Accounts with explanations for variances against strategic budgets
Prepare any ad-hoc Management reports
Manages the financial statement close off process
Managing the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking, fixed assets and inter-company reconciliations
Oversee internal and external audits
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
Develop and improve financial information, systems, policies and controls
Prepare statutory reports such as TATT, CSO, BOP reports
Preparation of company’s statutory returns such as VAT, Green Fund Levy, Business Levy and Corporation Tax
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Posting and reconciling monthly payroll
Prepare and manage the Fixed Assets registers
Supervise the Accounts Payables function, ensuring supplier invoices are posted timely, recommend supplier payments as they fall due and the company’s procurement policy is adhered
Monitor and ensure CAPEX and OPEX are in alignment with budget / strategic plans
Monitor economic and competitive environment for changes that will the company’s financials
Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value
Review and approve transactions posted into the Accounting Software
Any other related duties assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Accounting and Preparation of Financial Statements and Supervisory experience
Completed Level 3 ACCA or any related Accounting qualification
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or any other Accounting Software
Industry knowledge
Demonstrates good leadership and management skills
Experience in conflict resolution and negotiation
