Her Excellency, President Kangaloo, who was inaugurated on March 20, 2023 to serve as the seventh President of Trinidad and Tobago also has the honour of being only the second woman to hold the position. She was preceded by President Paula May Weekes, another UWI alumna and the first woman President of Trinidad and Tobago.

Stacia Morris facilitated a thought provoking dialogue with fellow Pelicans on February 28, 2023 - watch the recap in case you missed it.

The Director of Alumni Relations for the UWI, Mrs. Davidson Francis introduced the Alumni Relations Institutional Advancement Division (IAD) Awards in 2018 to recognize and celebrate the UWIAA Chapters and individuals who excelled annually in terms of service to the UWI and in helping further build “One UWI, One Alumni Family.” The awards are presented annually at the Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting.
