July means summer is here and I wish you a wonderful one, full of family time and fun!
A culture of innovation and entrepreneurship is flourishing post-Covid 19. For some of you this will prompt you to take risks, experiment, unleash your creative potential and even drive impactful change. Be willing to explore new visions and to step outside your comfort zone. Be prepared to regard failures as opportunities for growth, and to recognize the importance of continuous improvement. Adopt a learning mindset, be curious and innovate. I do realise that this is easier said than done – but it is not an impossible step as thousands of individuals are doing it now all over the world – let there be many Pelicans who innovate and become entrepreneurs too! The world continues to change rapidly, and our future may soon look very different from what we had envisaged. Speaking about the future - look out for more news about the amazing virtual evening conference on October 10, 11 &12, 2023, ‘powered by’ The UWI’s Young Alumni Advocates in association with YoPro Global. There will be lots to learn about future proofing our professional lives as entrepreneurship, online and freelance work opportunities and more will be discussed. More details will follow – but in the meantime – SAVE those October dates! After all, the future is important because we are all going to spend the rest of our lives there! Let us make it great!
