Alumni, as an important stakeholder, will be able to take part and share their UWI “quality” stories in person and virtually, including meeting students and lecturers from across the Caribbean region which resulted in lifelong friendships, the student clubs and societies which expanded their horizons, the varied sports line-up which increased their Pelican Pride and Spirit and of course the outstanding lecturers and academic variety – all of which impacted their lives positively and have equipped them to make a positive professional contribution to their region and the world.

November 14, 2019 is the University’s inaugural Quality Day and this day will be marked annually going forward, in conjunction with World Quality Day, to underscore the institution’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of its Mission.

I hope that you will join in the various activities planned by the campuses for the inaugural UWI Quality Day on Nov 14, 2019. As Director of Alumni for the UWI, with alumni engagement being a primary aim, I am delighted that graduates are a part of this inaugural quality day and will continue to be in the future.

Why is quality important to our alumni?

  1. Quality impacts UWI’s accreditation and Ranking – so a high ranking improves the value of your degree
  2. The better the reputation and ranking of UWI, then the more our graduates can leverage in terms of employability and salary
So fellow Pelicans - reflect UWI's QUALITY and continue to soar and shine!

Your chance to give today: Visit www.uwi.edu/giving. No amount is too small - I invite your support.

Have a wonderful day and week!

Celia
