You may recall that on February 28, 2020, UWI Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Hilary Beckles established The UWI COVID-19 Task Force to help inform the Caribbean’s response to the virus’ threat. For more information visit https://www.uwi.edu/covid19.

Among the ways that The University of the West Indies (The UWI) is leveraging its expertise to assist in the Caribbean response to COVID-19 is by providing support to the regional education sector. The UWI Open Campus, with over a decade of proven competency in distance, blended, and online learning modes, is leading professional development training on alternative ways of continuing education for students.

She received her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., and holds a Master of Science degree in International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages from The UWI.
