KPMG in Jamaica is hiring a Travel & Expense Assistant Manager on Caribjob today.More details about this job are below:KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS) seeks to identify an Travel & Expense Assistant Manager who will be responsible for people managing at least 20 direct reports, aligned with the Client Travel & Expense processes.OVERVIEW:KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Clients’ Travel & Expense (T&E) function is expanding operations at JESS to support multiple Travel & Expense processes. Team members within the delivery center work with Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support Client’s back office operations.​JOB SUMMARY:The JESS T&E Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing a team of lower level resources who will be performing various tasks within the Clients’ T&E compliance process area. Particularly, this role will ensure the teams’ adherence to standard operating procedures is on time and of expected quality.  The Assistant Manager will have leadership and team building skills to promote a cohesive and innovative environment.  This role will report on operational achievements and issues to the Jess T&E Manager.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Effectively communicates with the Client to understand any changes to Client’s departmental policies, processes and procedures, and implement affected change
  • Ensures standard operating procedures (SOP) documents accurately reflect the way the process is performed, updating every time a process change is administered (policy change, improvement, etc.) 

People Management

  • Supervise a team of junior staff resources, and support their professional development
  • Ability to coach and motivate team members to optimize team effectiveness and enhance team interactions
  • Ability to hold team members accountable for the achievement of established customer satisfaction levels
  • Ability to identify and implement improvement in collaboration with Client’s stakeholders and T&E Manager
  • Ability to impact team morale, culture, and participation
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple and/or conflicting priorities
  • Ability to escalate critical issues to the Jess T&E Manager and Client stakeholders as necessary
  • Support the T&E Manager to continuously improve, add value and sustain the long-term vision of the JESS organization

Service Delivery

  • Audit and evaluate complex, higher volume expense submissions from Client VIP Executives and Special employee groups in addition to Client partner and employees
  • ​Prepare and deliver reports in accordance with firm policies
  • ​Oversees the team who performs the execution and delivery of the in-scope Time & Expense tasks within Clients’ Finance and Accounting function
  • ​Provides direction and leadership to the team,
  • ​Monitors the achievement of operational objectives against Client criteria and contractual service levels
  • ​Gains advanced knowledge of the Clients’ time and expense policies and financial applications
  • ​Performs quality assurance review of team members’ delivery and ensures it meets Client’s expectations and deadlines


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Professional Accreditation
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience within T&E s
  • At least three years in a people management capacity


  • Understands and analyzes information.
  • Uses knowledge of data, systems, and their intersections to provide workforce information from the most applicable data source/s in response to standard or ad hoc requests and in support of data quality checks.
  • Performs historical trending and projection analyses as appropriate for strategic needs.
  • Meets with customers to understand their needs or concerns in order to ensure data, analytics, and reporting are used appropriately.
  • Leverages external networks to ensure all relevant information is integrated into analysis and interpretation of data.
