The American Foundation of the University of the West Indies (AFUWI) has collaborated with the Florida Chapter of The University of the West Indies Alumni Association (UWIAA) to host its signature Mix & Mingle fundraiser in aid of The Foundation’s “Adopt-A-Student for $1-A-Day Drive”. The public event will be held at Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, 5711 N. University Drive in Tamarac, Florida 33321 on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

“We’re pleased to be hosting another fundraiser in an effort to foster the academic pursuits of underprivileged students,” said Lowell Hawthorne, Chairman of the AFUWI Partnership Board. “We are encouraged by the support we have received from the Diaspora community and look forward to the continued growth and success of the Adopt-A-Student program.”
