Caribbean Giant Dies - Professor Emeritus Norman Girvan

The University of the West Indies notes with regret the passing of Professor Emeritus Norman Girvan, a great son of the Caribbean and a renowned member of the world's intelligentsia. He was a Professorial Research Fellow at the UWI Graduate Institute of International Relations at the UWI St. Augustine Campus.

He was formerly the Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States, Professor of Development Studies and Director of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies at the UWI.
