UWIMAA CANADA'S DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD 2019 GOES TO DR WINSTON GITTENS

Dr Winston Gittens's outstanding career was summarised by Dr Joe Butchey and Dr Gittens was presented with the UWIMAA Canada's Dinstinguished Service Award at our Annual General Meeting on May 5th 2019. 

Dr Gittens has had an amazing career as a Neurosurgeon and Administrator having completed several physician management courses, with contributions across Canada from Nova Scotia, to Newfoundland to British Columbia and Ontario. 

Dr Gittens has held such positions as Chief of Neurosuregery at the Royal Columbian Hospital, Perioperative Phyician Manager and Medical Director Royal Columbian Hospital among many others. 

We are in awe of his outstanding career and are honoured to call him a fellow alumnus! Congratulations Dr Gittens!
