The Appreciation Day was held in acknowledgement of the partnering role Secondary School Principals play in The UWI’s recruitment and other outreach activities, which have helped in maintaining the high academic standards of the University.
The day began with a Campus Tour which gave a ‘first-hand’ look at some of the infrastructural and other progressive changes that have been made to the campus recently. The principals were then treated to lunch and were addressed by Minister of Education, The Honourable Dr. Tim Gopeesingh; Campus Principal, Professor Clement Sankat and Campus Registrar, Mr. Jeremy Callaghan.
The guest principals were entertained throughout the day by MC, Paul Keens Douglas.
