NEW ROBE

first Chancellor’s Robe and Mortarboard on display in The UWI Museum.

On Saturday, 16th of September, Chancellor Robert Bermudez was formally installed during a ceremony at St Augustine. It is an amazing order of events to have a new Chancellor ready to help mark the celebration of the university’s platinum jubilee. The Saturday affair also marks an interesting new chapter at this regional university. Chancellor Bermudez has been said to be the right man for the right time.Read more here and follow the Roots of the West Indian Pelican.

“TALENTED KNOX“

Dr Knox Hagley, former Director of Community Health & Psychiatry at the UWI Mona Campus was a member of one of the early cohorts of medical students at the then single-campus University College of the West Indies. The highlighted blog features Dr Knox Hagley singing in fine style his tribute to the UWI "Light of the Caribbean". He was well known as one of the mellow voices on campus, listen his song.
