The return of the 170-year-old Jamaican Giant Galliwasp specimen

A ground-breaking partnership between The University of the West Indies (The UWI) and the University of Glasgow (UofG) has resulted in the repatriation of a rare and valuable 170-year-old specimen of the Jamaican Giant Galliwasp. The specimen, believed to have been collected in the 1850s and thought to be extinct, was part of The Hunterian collection at UofG in Scotland, UK.
