Human Resources Manager

Applications are invited for the post of Human Resources Manager in The University of the West Indies Open Campus.
The candidate must possess a Masters degree in Human Resources Management or its equivalent, considerable experience in human resources administration and a minimum of three years experience in a managerial position, particularly in a distributed environment.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- lead the ongoing development and implementation of the Open Campus Human Resource Strategy;
- promote and maintain stable and harmonious labour relations with the various Unions and Staff Groups;
- demonstrate familiarity with employment laws throughout the English-speaking Caribbean;
- ensure that the campus H.R. policies, procedures, collective labour agreements and conditions of service are current, effective and fully implemented; and
- promote the utilisation of the existing H.R. Management Information System (PeopleSoft).

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate:

sensitivity to the cultural and social variations in the working environment across the regional University.
