Regional Development

A significant contributor to regional development The UWI is a provider of technical advisory
services to its contributing countries and to CARICOM as a whole.

UWI Countries

The regional nature of The UWI is manifested both structurally and culturally within the institution. The university continues to operationalise its regional character through initiatives like the establishment of the Open Campus and articulation and franchise arrangements with tertiary level institutions (TLIs) throughout the region. Partnerships have also been pursued at the programme level with public and private sector agencies involving all campuses.

As part of the thrust towards regional engagement, that is, service to stakeholders, the institution has provided technical advisory services to its contributing countries and has also contributed to the development of regional polices through CARICOM.

Central Office for Regional and International Affairs (CORIA)
