Review of Examination Procedures
The work of the Implementation Task Force has proceeded since its official commissioning into service in September 2005. There was wide circulation of The Report on the Review of the Examination System throughout the university and feedback was received from Campuses, Faculties and individual faculty members. A comprehensive collaborative response was received from the UWI 12.

Review of Graduate Studies
The University Management Report Generation Project
The University of the West Indies recognizes the need for more comprehensive data management from the state-of-the-art student, human resource and finance systems implemented at each campus. There is an urgent need for a system that can consolidate, analyze and utilize the information collected.
It is against this background that the University Management Report Generation project was initiated by the Vice Chancellor. The project started in September 2005 and consists of a small core working team and support team of technical and functional resources from across the University. The main activities have been:
- Conducting cross-campus interviews with the Management of the University.
- Developing a prototype of core management reports from Human Resource and Student Systems.
- Identifying and addressing data quality issues.
- Acquiring, training and implementing Business Objects query and analysis tool.
- Implementing pilot for August 2006, thereafter incremental deployment across the UWI.
