RHQ Technology Information Portal Launch (TIP) Overview

Javier Bailey, IT Officer of OUCIO, demonstrates the use of the Technology Information Portal to the members of staff.
In alignment with The UWI’s Digital Transformation goals, the Office of the University Chief Information Officer, in collaboration with the Facilities Management Team, launched the RHQ Technology Information Portal (TIP) on November 19, 2025, at the Winston Bayley Seminar Room. The event was well-received and productive, as it showcased the functionalities of three key tools:
- CIO Helpdesk – Submit ICT support requests to the Office of the University Chief Information Officer.
- Facilities Management Ticketing System – Report Regional Headquarters facility issues.
- RHQ Directory – Access staff contact information for Regional Headquarters staff.
The presentation flowed smoothly, highlighting the platform's key features, its purpose, and the benefits it offers to the RHQ community. Attendees engaged positively with the demonstrations, asking thoughtful questions, making suggestions, and showing genuine interest in how the portal will support daily operations. Overall, the event effectively raised awareness, encouraged early engagement, and laid a solid foundation for the continued adoption of the Technology Information Portal.
At the end of the session, we gave tokens to participants with correct answers to questions in the giveaway session. Major prizes were awarded to two participants: Nickeisha Grant from the Global Affairs Department and Merilynn Sheriff from the IGDS Department.
Based on the feedback we received, the team will proceed with targeted enhancements to ensure the portal continues to evolve in alignment with the needs of the RHQ community.
