The Vice-Chancellery

Welcome to the Vice-Chancellery

The UWI Vice-Chancellery or Regional Headquarters (RHQ) is the seat of central governance for the university system.

About the RHQ

Also known as the Centre, the Vice-Chancellery was established over two and a half decades ago, under the leadership of Chancellor Sir Shridath Ramphal and Vice-Chancellor Sir Alister McIntyre, as a manifestation of the regional nature of The UWI both structurally and culturally within the university eco-system.

It provides broad leadership and management oversight and planning for the multi-campus university system which now spans operations across 17 Caribbean nations and 10 global locations.

It is the coordinating body for strategic activities, regional research, quality assurance and accreditation functions, regional and international relations, advocacy, and reputation building.
