The UWI Archives Celebrates IAW 2026

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Archives joins the global celebration of International Archives Week 2026 under the theme “Archives for Justice: Rights, Memory & Futures”

International Archives Week is a global annual event launched by the International Council on Archives (ICA), that highlights the essential role of archives in society. In this eight edition of International Archives Week (IAW2026) taking place from June 8-12, 2026, the theme #ArchivesForJustice explores how archives support justice by strengthening accountability, safeguarding rights, preserving memory, and enabling access to truth across legal, social, cultural, and intergenerational contexts.
