The UWI London Benefit Dinner Postgraduate Scholarship

Eligibility
- Minimum 2.7 degree or equivalent in a relevant undergraduate discipline awarded from a recognised university
Award Value
- S$2,000
Terms and Conditions:
- Recipients will have been accepted for enrolment in a full-time postgraduate masters or doctoral degree programme at any of the UWI’s physical campuses
- Recipients will be required to
- sign a UWI Scholarship Agreement agreeing to the terms and conditions of the scholarship, prior to the commencement of their programme
- work in the Caribbean for a period of 24 months immediately after completion of the programme
- Recipients who fail to comply with this 24-month minimum period will be required to repay the award, unless the UWI has provided a waiver
Thesis Area:
- The thesis topic must be selected from one or a combination of the following:
• Emerging biomedical or renewable energy, or waste management technologies of relevance to the Caribbean
• Climate resilient infrastructure
• Food security and logistics for Small Island Developing Nation States
• Disaster risk mitigation, management, and transference
• Climate reparations and corporate social responsibility
Withdrawal
- Recipients who withdraw from the programme without good reason and the approval of the Academic Director, or who fail to complete the programme, will be required to repay the award
Scholarship Application Requirement
All completed applications shall be accompanied by the following documents:
- Transcript (An unofficial copy is also accepted)
- Ensure that your research area is properly completed on the application form
- 2 character reference letters
3. HOW TO APPLY
a.Submit the completed application form with all the other relevant documents to the School for Graduate Studies and Research via email at gsr@uwi.edu, on/before the stipulated deadline.
