Tune in to Newstalk 93 FM this Sunday, March 1, 2015 to hear the thought-provoking address by newly-elected Judge of the International Court of Justice, Judge Patrick Robinson, entitled “A Triad of Identity Issues".
The lecture was delivered as part of The UWI, Mona's 2015 Homecoming Celebrations, during which Judge Robinson was recognized as the Homecoming Honouree.
In his address, Robinson discussed the claim for reparations, the replacement of the Monarchy by a Republican system of government, and the replacement of the Privy Council by the Caribbean Court of Justice.
The 31st Annual Elsa Goveia Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Emeritus Professor Patrick Bryan, Department of History and Archaeology, UWI, Mona under the title “The Dominican Republic, 1870-1916: Socio-economic and Ideological Aspects of “Free Labour Plantations”
