This year, there were specially invited guests such as His Excellency Anthony Carmona ORTT, SC, President of Trinidad and Tobago, and Distinguished UWI alum who delivered the feature address; and Jehue Gordon who received a special token from the University for his outstanding athleticism.
Matriculation is an important annual academic ritual, which symbolizes the official initiation and recognition of new Undergraduate students as members of the University's academic community. The event is marked by the signing of the register, the recital of the academic vow and the official welcome by the Vice Chancellor.
