Earth Day 2012

{gallery}http://www.flickr.com/photos/theuwi/sets/72157629497776136/{/gallery} The University of the West Indies celebrated Earth Day 2012 on April 19th, with a “Picnic on the LRC Greens with the Environmental Committee”.

Earth Day 2012 will be celebrated throughout the world on April 22nd, and is themed Mobilize the Earth. Following this theme, the Environmental Committee mobilized The UWI St. Augustine Campus towards a plastic and Styrofoam free environment through their Earth Day 2012 Pledge and the planting of a Samaan Tree.
