The University of the West Indies (UWI) proudly welcomes Christina Plummer Wynn as the new Director of Alumni Relations. A distinguished alumna and accomplished leader, Mrs. Plummer Wynn brings extensive professional experience, national recognition, and a steadfast commitment to service and community development. Her appointment marks a transformative moment for UWI Alumni Relations, as she leads initiatives to strengthen engagement, foster collaboration, and build a more connected alumni network.
Christina’s career spans both the private and public sectors, with over eight years of professional experience in financial services, most recently as Assistant Manager at VM Group, a Caribbean-based financial institution with operations in the United Kingdom. She currently serves as a Justice of the Peace for Jamaica, reflecting her dedication to community service and leadership.
A proven high achiever, Christina’s leadership has been recognized through numerous national and institutional accolades, including the Governor General’s Achievement Award for Excellence in Leadership (2019), recognition for Excellence in Leadership through the Prime Minister’s Youth Awards (2017), and the UWI Premier Female Leader of the Year Award (2017). She has also consistently been acknowledged for her contributions to service, volunteerism, and leadership development.
A proud UWI graduate, Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies (Hons) and a Master of Business Administration in General Management. She served as President of the UWI STAT Vice Chancellor’s Ambassador Corps (Mona Campus, 2017) and represented Jamaica on national and regional platforms, demonstrating her commitment to advocacy and alumni engagement. In addition, she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds certifications in Event Planning, Supervisory Management, and Harvard Manage Mentor Leadership Training.
Christina Plummer Wynn brings a bold and ambitious vision to UWI Alumni Relations. She is committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and meaningful engagement across all alumni chapters, ensuring that all alumni feel valued and connected to the University. Her strategy emphasizes dynamic programming, strategic partnerships, and initiatives that enhance professional development, community impact, and alumni participation. With her proven leadership, extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, and a distinguished record of national recognition, Christina is exceptionally positioned to elevate Alumni Relations to new heights, building a stronger, more unified, and vibrant alumni community.
