UWI graduate Judge Kathy-Ann Brown has been sworn in as a member of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. She was among five judges elected at the thirtieth Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea to serve a term of nine years, commencing on 1 October 2020.
The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has announced that UWI alumna, Pamela Coke-Hamilton has been appointed as the Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (ITC), which is the joint agency of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) for trade and international business development.
She holds an undergraduate degree in international relations from The UWI and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University

UWI alumna Kavell Joseph is currently a technical youth employment specialist at Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE). Kavell is an attorney from the Commonwealth jurisdiction of Trinidad and Tobago. She holds an LLM in International Legal Studies from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from The UWI.
