Ambassador Dr. Richard Bernal now President of Royal Commonwealth Society - Jamaica Branch

 
Ambassador Dr. Richard L. Bernal O.J., Pro-Vice Chancellor, Global Affairs is now the President of the Royal Commonwealth Society, Jamaica Branch. He was elected at the annual general meeting on Thursday, April 23, 2020. He succeeds the late Sir Edward Zacca, former Chief Justice of Jamaica. 
The Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) is an education charity promoting international understanding, particularly among young people through a range of events and projects.

UWI’s Leadership gives Percentage of Salaries to Student Fund.

The senior executive leadership of The University of the West Indies (The UWI)—the Vice-Chancellor, Campus Principals, Pro Vice-Chancellors, University Bursar and University Registrar—have all committed to allocating a percentage of their salaries for the next three months towards a student hardship fund. The aim of the fund is to promote equity of access for all students as well as provide much needed additional counselling services during this time.
