Breast Cancer Awareness Month has been one such charity initiative. PINKtober has been a regular Rexan feature, and the support given to the Jamaica Cancer Society with our annual Walk-a-thon has been tremendous over the years. Last year, we were able to raise $111,444. Our yearly contribution is greatly appreciated by the Cancer Society who employs the donation in their Outreach Development programmes catering to patients in need of the support services offered by the Society.
This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to engage the public in that manner, and this affects our chances of donating to the Cancer Society. Therefore, we launch the Rex Nettleford Hall Online Crowdfunding for Breast Cancer Awareness during our virtual Nine Days of Pink. Your donation is important to the continuation of the work at the Jamaica Cancer Society, specifically, Breast Cancer. All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign and outreach.
