Danny Glover, an actor, producer, humanitarian, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador made a visit to Jamaica on October 5. He came to the UWI and interacted with students and alumni during a “Conversation” with the UWI Vice Chancellor, Sir Hilary Beckles. The interactive session was very animated.
He also laid a wreath at the UWI monument which memorializes the last known slaves on the Mona Plantation, which is located at the Queens Way entrance. This photo shows him seated (right) with the UWI Vice Chancellor, Sir Hilary Beckles, moments after laying the wreath.
