Severe Weather November 2004

On 12 November 2004, Tobago experienced severe weather conditions due to the presence of the Inter Tropical Convergent Zone (ITCZ) and a front stretching in from the north. The me office reported a total of 208.7 mm of rainfall accompanied the system. His severe weather claimed the lives of two persons, one a resident of Louis D’or and the other at Delaford. Additionally, several others were injured while there were also many reported cases of landslides and flooding in some areas of the island. Landslides occurred along the Eastern main road from Goodwood to Charlotteville while there was flooding experienced in the low-lying areas such as Canaan, Bon Accord, Carnbee and Mt.Pleasant.
