Hurricane Lenny 1999

On the 18th Nov 1999, Hurricane Lenny severely damaged the Nevis coastline, Four Seasons Hotel, Deep Water Harbours (St. Kitts & Nevis). 100 people were left homeless .216 families have were affected. Urban areas, coastal communities, ports, sea defenses and road network have suffered severe damage from flooding and wave action. The international airport sustained no damage but several hotels have suffered water damage; According to the national authorities, the total cost of the damage has been put at USD 41,400,000
