- Southern Jamaica worst affected
- High waves destroyed houses along the south coast
- William Beckford (1790) reported that during this hurricane the entire island was affected but the town of Savanna-la-Mar in Westmoreland was destroyed, and south-western Jamaica was hardest hit
- An earthquake followed the passing of this hurricane
